| If you desire
more than just a relaxing stay here at Sunset Ridge Cabins, the Townsend
area has a wide array of activities that you might enjoy. Townsend
is nestled along the Little River, which flows from the National Park
through the five mile stretch of town. You can enjoy tubing,
swimming, and fishing in one of the nation's purest watersheds.
Townsend also has its own bicycle and walking trail with three miles of
splendid scenery. You can plan on
hiking and horseback riding on National Park trails, exploring at
Tuckaleechee Caverns, or golfing at nearby courses. Just a short
drive over the hill lies Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where you'll find
factory outlet malls, skiing, Dollywood, and other major attractions.
There's something great to do or see just about everywhere.
